David Howell, is a pastor, communicator, author of The Man in the Window - Creating a cultural shift in modern day evangelism.  The Man in the Window is based on the parallels between the story of Eutychus in the book of Acts, and the church today.  The need for the church to get outside of the building if we are going to transform our cities and nation.  This book is for every prodigal that you may be praying for to come home, and for also the offended brother that missed the celebration at his return.

David and his wife Stacy have been married for twenty-two years.  In an adventure that began on the campus of Arkansas State University, and has seen them live in 5 different cities, over the last 20 years.  Stacy is a talented photographer, she is involved in Pastoral Ministry and leads the women's ministry, an amazing mom to their 6 children (Emma, Warnock, Katie, Ezra, Birdee, and Charlotte), she sees the value in White Mocha Latte's from Starbucks, anything from Marvel or Star Wars and loves being an amazing wife and mom that holds everything together!

David worked in the financial industry for 12 years, before entering into full time ministry, answering a call to ministry that had been spoken over his life at the age of seven.  David joined the staff of City Church in 2014, where he served as the youth pastor for 2 years, before moving into the role of campus pastor in 2017. David currently serves as Executive & Network Pastor at City Church.  With a focus to network and build a bridge to carry City Church to the City, State, & Nations.   He has a heart for people and the prophetic.  He knows that the Kingdom and our lives are meant to be one and the same.

In the book of Acts the twentieth chapter, we are introduced, albeit very briefly to an individual named Eutychus, we don’t really know anything about him other than what is recorded in the following five verses of the chapter.

This passage in particular is one that speaks to me as an individual, it speaks to our modern-day church, and it is one, that I believe speaks to modern day evangelism. It also on a more tragic level is representative of our broken society, and how we as the modern-day church fail to recognize the countless people that have had the same fate as our dear friend Eutychus.

My hope and prayer with this message is that you will be blessed and encouraged. We are in a time when we (the church) should not be sitting on the sidelines. We serve a living God that still speaks to us, we owe everyone we meet an encounter with this living God. A God of Love.

What the People Say

"The Man in the Window" does not leave you in the condition of being asleep but ends with the revelation of resurrections.  This book will help you take a look at your life and move you into a new refreshing and communion with your Father God.  This book teaches us how to connect as the church together in the Spirit of Christ and with the lost and hurting in our city.

Pastor Terry Nance - Best Selling Author "God's Armor Bearer"

Not just a clever take on a few verses in the Bible, although it is that. This book comes as revelation from within a deep place in David's experience.  I believe this book will bring timely answers to questions about the church moving forward in these uncertain days of cultural and generational transitions.  If you are looking for a significant book giving a timely focus for the church, this is one you should get.

Pastor Wayne Drain - Pastor, Songwriter, Co-Author "He Still Speaks"

A wake up call to the Western Church. In his first book, David distills wisdom of a life that ranges from the financial sector, the church pulpit, to the local laundromat. His message to the American Church is a call to acknowledge the people that have become invisible, considered by society to be less worthy, and show them the Love of Christ.  It is a call to turn our focus away from ourselves and toward those in need, to move from the comfort of our church.
